Study Description: This study is testing an investigational injectable medication for the prevention of HIV. Study procedures and tests will consist of vital signs assessment, physical exams, laboratory blood testing, heart testing, and questionnaires about health and lifestyle. Total participation will last approximately 2.5 years and would include up to 15 doctor’s visits throughout the study. Eligibility for the study will be determined by the study doctor following in-person screening visits to the clinic. Trial-related procedures and study medication will be provided at no cost.

Qualifications:
- In the past 6 months, had anal or vaginal sex
- Cannot be currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- Cannot have a history of a bleeding disorder OR are you currently receiving anti-coagulant therapy
- In the past 12 months, cannot have: Exchanged condomless sex for goods or money OR used recreational IV drugs
- Cannot engage in condomless sex with an HIV-positive partner who has a detectable viral load or is not on antiretroviral therapy (ART)
- Cannot have clinical history of hepatitis in last 6 months
