MASH Study (Ages 18 - 80) (5 Questions)

Study Description:
This study is evaluating an investigational injectable drug compared to placebo in the treatment of patients who have been diagnosed with cirrhosis due to Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH)/Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis (MASH). Participants will take either the investigational medication or placebo as an injection once weekly for approximately 5 years. Additional procedures include laboratory tests, Fibroscans, abdominal ultrasounds, DXA scans, electrocardiograms (ECGs), liver biopsies, and esophagogastroduodenoscopies (EGDs). Total participation will last approximately 5 years and 4 months and includes up to 39 office visits throughout the study. Eligibility for the study will be determined by the study doctor following one or more in-person screening visits to the clinic. Study-related procedures and study medication will be provided at no cost. Participants will be reimbursed for study-related time and travel.

2. Have you been told by a doctor/physician OR do you suspect that you have Stage 4 Fibrosis also known as cirrhosis of the liver? Answer: Yes
3. Have you been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes? Answer: A or B
