Study Description:
This study is testing an investigational injectable medication for the treatment of chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU), also known as hives. Participants will receive either the investigational medication or a placebo for approximately 6 months. Following 6 months of the treatment period, participants receiving the placebo will enter an active treatment phase where they will receive the investigational medication. Additional procedures include vital signs, laboratory assessments, questionnaires, and e-diary completion. Total participation will last approximately 1 year and 5 months with up to19 clinic visits throughout the study. Eligibility for the study will be determined by the study doctor following one in-person screening visit to the clinic. Trial-related procedures and study medication will be provided at no cost.

Chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) is a condition that is characterized by itchy hives, deep tissue swelling (angioedema), or both for more than 6 weeks. This type of chronic urticaria has no specific cause or trigger.

Have you experienced any of the following recurring symptoms of CSU for 6 weeks or longer, despite taking allergy medication (H1 antihistamines)?
- Superficial red or pale skin swelling known as wheals
- Painful swelling affecting the lips, eyelids, face, hands, feet, or genitals known as angioedema
